École secondaire catholique l’Horizon and Laurentian University’s Women’s Soccer Voyageurs invite the media to attend an official signing ceremony to take place on Friday, January 6, at 1 p.m., at ÉSC l’Horizon. The school is located at 1650 Valleyview Road in Val Caron.

Taking part in this event will be Laurentian University Voyageurs soccer coach Brian Ashton, ÉSC l’Horizon grade 12 student Kiana Levac, as well as fellow students and staff from her school.

Kiana Levac, a standout soccer player from ÉSC l’Horizon and Greater Sudbury Impact Soccer Club player, will sign a commitment to join the Laurentian University soccer team. Kiana, considered by many as being the best 18-year-old defender in Northern Ontario, is very appreciated by her coaches for her leadership on the field and her soccer skills. A strong student, Kiana will be able to excel in her studies as well as on the soccer field.

Brian Ashton, Coach of the Laurentian University Soccer Voyageurs, is pleased that a top soccer talent from Sudbury has chosen to pursue her sports career and studies at Laurentian University. Kiana, the first new player to be signed by Laurentian University Women’s Soccer Voyageurs for the upcoming season, will join a young soccer team that is expected to compete with top teams in Ontario.
