Some 125 grade 9 and 10 students from Collège Notre-Dame (100 Lévis St., Sudbury) will gather in the school’s junior cafeteria on Friday, February 23, from 1 to 2:15 p.m., to take part in Expo-sciences CND 2024 science fair. Members of the media are invited to meet the young scientists.

Under the guidance of their teachers, these Collège Notre-Dame students were able to work on the scientific enquiry process and focus on various areas of science. The 73 projects will be divided in the following categories: life science, health science, physical science, engineering and computer science.

Individually or in groups of two, students will present their research project to a panel of judges. Among the 30 judges evaluating the projects are experts from Laurentian University, Collège Notre-Dame, Science North and Vale.

The top science fair projects will move on to the Sudbury Regional Science Fair being held at Laurentian University on April 6 and 7. Certain students may possibly be selected for the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Ottawa in May.
