On Tuesday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m., the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) will hold a public meeting at École Ste-Thérèse (4617 Ste-Thérèse St, Val Thérèse). The purpose of this session is to present the recommendation from the external evaluation committee that had the mandate to evaluate various school site options in Val Thérèse and Hanmer. This report will include the evaluation of available sites in the area in the event the preferred option is one requiring the construction of a new school on a new site.

During the last public meeting held on January 9, 2014, the CSCNO presented eleven school site options in Hanmer and Val Thérèse. All options are conditional to the CSCNO’s securing funding from the Ministry of Education.

Parents, students, school staff as well as members of the community are invited to this meeting to share their opinions and make recommendations.

The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) operates three elementary schools in Hanmer and Val Thérèse. École Notre-Dame (Hamner) is a JK to grade 8 school while École St-Joseph (Hanmer) has students from JK to grade 3 and École Ste-Thérèse (Val Thérèse) counts grade 4 to 8 students.

The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario offers a French Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSCNO provides a quality academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 7,000 students in 27 elementary and 10 secondary schools.
