A new school board trustee will represent CSC Nouvelon constituents in Zone 5

During its May 31, 2022 meeting, the Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon proceeded with the selection of a new school board trustee to represent constituents living in Greater Sudbury’s Zone 5 (Wards 7 to 12). Ms. Monique Aubin-Gagné was the selected candidate and will serve in this position until the next school board elections in October 2022.

Having worked for 26 years at the Conseil scolaire catholique de district des Grandes Rivières, Ms. Aubin-Gagné held the position of teaching assistant and later teacher at École Sainte-Thérèse School (Ramore). Afterwards, she was principal of École Sainte-Thérèse and École Immaculée-Conception (Val Gagné). Ms. Aubin-Gagné completed a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies and Education at Laurentian University, a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology at Laurentian University as well as specialists in Special Education and Religious Education.

Having worked in French-language Catholic schools in Ramore and Val Gagné, she will be able to contribute to the excellence of CSC Nouvelon schools and defend the interests of our students,” stated Ms. Suzanne Salituri, CSC Nouvelon President

“We are pleased that Monique Aubin-Gagné will have the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of French-language Catholic education in her role of school board trustee,” added Mr. Paul Henry, CSC Nouvelon Director of Education and Secretary Treasurer. “Ms. Aubin-Gagné joins us with relevant experience and a great desire to actively participate in the school board’s vision and mission.”

The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon offers a French-language Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSC Nouvelon provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 6,100 students enrolled in 27 elementary, 1 virtual school and 10 secondary schools.

Blitz annuel de collecte de fonds du Collège Notre-Dame pour la Fondation du Nord pour la recherche en cancérologie

Le Collège Notre-Dame (Sudbury) tiendra son blitz annuel de collecte de fonds le mercredi 7 mai dans le cadre de la Semaine de l’éducation catholique. Le CND s’attend à une participation de près de 130 élèves à cette campagne annuelle au profit de la Fondation du Nord pour la recherche en cancérologie.
