Collège Notre-Dame teacher honoured for excellence in teaching science

Ms. Brigitte Prévost was presented the Sudbury Regional Science Fair’s Ambassador for Science Award during its awards ceremony on April 10, 2022. A teacher at Collège Notre-Dame (Sudbury), Ms. Prévost was recognized for her continued commitment to teaching science. The Ambassador for Science Award recognizes the significant contributions of an exceptional teacher who is dedicated to teaching science and whose passion for this subject has enabled students to surpass themselves in the preparation of their projects for the Science Fair. 

Ms. Prévost has taught in Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon schools for over 19 years. A dedicated science teacher, she encourages her students to develop the scientific method through innovative projects at the Sudbury Regional Science Fair.Through experimentation, innovation or research, her students acquire skills and knowledge enabling them to succeed in quality scientific projects. Through her commitment and the transmission of her great passion for science, Brigitte Prévost contributes to the scientific development of students at Collège Notre-Dame. 

“Brigitte Prévost shows a passion for science that is successfully passed on to her students,” explained Collège Notre-Dame Principal Ms. Mélanie Bourget. “She always takes advantage of the Science Fair to support the development of her students and promote the learning of new science skills.”

“We are extremely lucky to have teachers as loyal and passionate as Ms. Prévost,” added Mr. Paul Henry, Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon Director of Education and Secretary Treasurer. “Our students truly benefit from her commitment to the success of those she teaches.”

The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon offers a French-language Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSC Nouvelon provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 6,100 students enrolled in 27 elementary, 1 virtual school and 10 secondary schools.

Blitz annuel de collecte de fonds du Collège Notre-Dame pour la Fondation du Nord pour la recherche en cancérologie

Le Collège Notre-Dame (Sudbury) tiendra son blitz annuel de collecte de fonds le mercredi 7 mai dans le cadre de la Semaine de l’éducation catholique. Le CND s’attend à une participation de près de 130 élèves à cette campagne annuelle au profit de la Fondation du Nord pour la recherche en cancérologie.
