CSCNO teacher honoured for excellence in teaching science

April 17, 2018

Mrs. Corinne Langevin was presented the Sudbury Regional Science Fair’s Ambassador for Science Award during its April 8, 2018 awards ceremony. Although Mrs. Langevin currently teaches at École secondaire du Sacré-Coeur (Sudbury), she was recognized for her commitment to teaching science at École St-Thomas (Warren) from 2014 to 2017. The Ambassador for Science Award recognizes a teacher for his or her help and encouragement to students throughout the preparation of their science fair projects.

Mrs. Langevin had a positive impact on the learning and success of École St-Thomas students who had the pleasure of having her as a teacher. She is someone who continuously strives to ensure students reach their full potential. Under her guidance, students from this French language Catholic school stood out at the Sudbury Regional Science Fair in 2016 and 2017.

“Mrs. Corinne Langevin shows a passion for science that she is able to pass on to her students,” explained École St-Thomas Principal Mrs. Hélène Lemieux. “She always took advantage of the Science Fair to support the development of her students and promote the learning of new skills in science.”

“We are extremely lucky to have teachers as loyal and passionate as Mrs. Langevin,” added CSCNO Director of Education Mrs. Lyse-Anne Papineau. “Our students truly benefit from her commitment to the success of those she teaches.”
