The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon recently unveiled the two staff members who are being recognized for their exceptional contributions: Mr. Miguel Bélanger, teacher at École secondaire catholique Champlain (Chelmsford), and Ms. Roxanne White, teacher at École Notre-Dame-du-Sault (Sault Ste. Marie). This distinction, which is awarded to two employees each year, recognizes individuals who truly stand out in their role.

Roxanne White is appreciated for her active participation in Catholic and Francophone activities at ÉS Notre-Dame-du-Sault. Known for her welcoming attitude, this grade 8 teacher displays her leadership skills by organizing gatherings, hosting a school radio show with students and coordinating follow-ups with the Ste-Marie-du-Sault Parish. Committed to her students, Ms. White brings Francophone culture to life in the school and is involved in several sports teams and extracurricular activities to give her students the opportunity to live memorable experiences. An undeniable leader, this teacher contributes to the vitality of her school by contributing to its presence within the Sault Ste. Marie community.

Miguel Bélanger stands out for his commitment to the vitality and visibility of ÉSC Champlain. Known for his kindness and enthusiasm, this teacher enhances the school environment by investing a great deal of effort in sports, cultural and leadership activities. Coach of several sports teams, including hockey, volleyball, badminton and swimming, Mr. Bélanger contributes to the success of the Festival Franco-Requins, the Soirée des sans abri (Homeless for a Night) and other cultural activities. Committed to the vitality of his school and the CSC Nouvelon, this teacher contributes to student leadership by supporting their community activities, participates in efforts to promote ÉSC Champlain and supports the organization of various sports tournaments at the elementary and secondary levels. 

“It is extremely important for us to honour the exceptional individuals who contribute to the high standards of Catholic French-language education offered in our schools,” stated Ms. Suzanne Salituri, CSC Nouvelon Board Chair.

“We are very lucky to have employees like Roxanne and Miguel who give themselves, heart and soul, for our students and our schools,” added Mr. Paul Henry, Director of Education and Secretary Treasurer at the CSC Nouvelon.

 

The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon offers a French-language Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSC Nouvelon provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 5,900 students enrolled in 27 elementary, 1 virtual school and 10 secondary schools.
