On Thursday, May 23, at 6:30 p.m., Le Bistro, Collège Notre-Dame’s (CND) singing café will present its end-of-the year showcase to the public. The concert will take place in the school junior cafeteria located at 100 Lévis Street in Sudbury. The students are proud to be able to share their musical talent through this event. Tickets are $8 each and snacks will be available for purchase during the intermission.

Le Bistro is made up of CND music students from grades 9 to 12. Under the direction of Ms. Renée Allaire, the repertoire will please music enthusiasts of all ages. Launched in 2006, Le Bistro has captivated audiences with an eclectic mix of pop, rock, country, folk and folk music.

For this show, Le Bistro will be revisiting memorable moments of past shows, as the students have selected songs performed since the early days of this tradition. The highlight of the evening will be the return on stage of former members of Le Bistro, aged between 20 and 34, for a set full of energy and memories. Their passion and talent, combined with that of today's students, promises an unforgettable showcase.

Spectators will be able to relive the great hits of Paul Demers, Patrick Norman, Céline Dion, Corneille and Dany Bédar, as well as groups such as La Compagnie créole and Mes Aïeux. The set to be presented by the former students will include a medley of classic country and rock ‘n’ roll hits, as well as a selection of their own past favourites.

Tickets can be purchased at Collège Notre-Dame’s main office, located at 100 Lévis St., in Sudbury, or at the door prior to show time (unless the tickets are sold out). Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards CND's music program.
