On Wednesday, April 30, Collège Notre-Dame’s Le Bistro singing café will present its new repertoire to the public. Doors open at 7 pm at the school located at 100 Lévis Street in Sudbury. Snacks will be available for purchase during the intermission. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the Collège Notre-Dame main office or at the door prior to show time. All profits will go towards cancer research.

The student members of Le Bistro will present hits by Francophone artists, a few English hits translated into French as well as an original song composed by CND student Dominique O’Bonsawin. The production, guided by Mrs. Renée Dupuis, Mrs. Danika Brabant and Mr. Marc-André Hurtubise, will please music enthusiasts of all ages. Launched in 2006, Le Bistro finds its musical inspiration in blues, rock, country and folk music, and obviously, in French song.

 

The following students will perform as members of Le Bistro: Curtis Arcand (drums), Brianne Aubertin (vocals), Christy Hemmer (vocals), Jonathan Landry (bass and guitar), Kyle Lapierre (vocals, guitar and bass), Philippe Mathieu (guitar and bass), Gabrielle Rainville (vocals), Dominique O’Bonsawin (piano, guitar and vocals), Tristan Wallis (violin and vocals) and Michel Lalonde, CND alumnus and former member of Le Bistro (drums).
